My dough was quite dry today, so I plaited it.
And I made parsnip and apple jam. This is 1kg+ parsnips, 200g apple, 1kg sugar, pinch cardamom,½tsp cinnamon and an awful lot of water.
I’m struggling to find daft male names for the various flavours, now. “Bob” (rhubob), “Vic” (victoria plum) and “Claude” (reine claude greengage) were easy, “Paul” (apple) and “Rico” (apricot) were so-on, but parsnip really tested me.
Tomorrow, I’ll try carrot and apple, but have no idea what I’ll call it.
