For a couple of weeks I’ve been making water kefir. At first, I wasn’t sure that I was following the instructions properly. But now, the starter grains have multiplied so much that I’ve got two batches on the go, and have had enough to dehydrate some to store, so yes I am doing it right.

The photos show a two-day old batch (made with pale sugar), yesterday’s batch (dark sugar) and today’s flavoured with strawberry purée. We’ll have to wait until Tuesday to find out what the latter tastes like after its second fermentation 😉
