a huge bag of perlite …

… arrived yesterday,

giving me the opportunity to try more plastic bottle hydroponics. I’ve sown one seed each of bean, pea, lettuce, cucumber and courgette to see how they get on.

Our water is alkaline so I added ¼tsp acid to 2l water, and then 7.5ml Plant Magic Hydro Grow; then split that amongst the five bottles. We’ll see how that works.

Meanwhile, traditionally sown peas are popping up.
