G is for …
… it must be for our green and pleasant land; here modelling a great oak.

On our walk around Arborfield this morning we went through a group of gates.

Unfortunately, G is also for gasp of horror as I sharpened one of my treasured Derwent flip pencils to find that the lead was broken all the way down.

Today’s pedometer results: noomwalk 10834, walklogger 10474 (7.8km) and pacer 9705 (4.9km).

The arborfield is pleasant and green with various types of gates.

Hello Sal
Such lovely countryside for your morning walk.
The wonderful old tree generously spreading it’s branches and leaves to provide shade for weary souls.
It’s great to come across the old country stiles.
The UK has many wonderful cross country trails open to the public
As a rule this doesn’t happen in New Zealand where I live, as the farmland is private. However, several farmers have joined together and opened up some of their land for such walks – they even have cottages where one can stay overnight and enjoy the ‘living in the country experience!
As farming has it’s good and bad years, farmers have learn to diversify.
Nice to meet up with you at Mosaic Monday.
