tangleation, a border and the end of a theme

diva#175 was to use a particular tangle, crux. It uses a square grid, but I’ve altered it to use a triangular one. And practised restraint!

joey#16 was to use a border; here’s a monotangle with suckee! I dithered about filling the centre but, again, practised restraint.

No restraint here with the last of the series using the roughly the same type of geometric construction (this time with a seven petalled flower), with the same set of tangles.

Love all of your images, Sal. Your Crux is so creative. I love how you altered the grid and placed the whole thing in a Circle. Nice job of partial tangle completion. I find it fascinating. Such a good job..

Fantastic pieces. I especially like the one in the middle with the tie on the bottom. I can barely do that with a real ribbon! Love it!

all three of these tiles are wonderful, but the center one, the edge challenge, was breathtaking. I love the squarre knot, and I LOVEIT that you did show restraint and let that edge be the hero of the piece. SO so good.

Like your sphere. Your variation resulted in Quandry.

All of these are beautiful. And your restraint (always hard to hold onto) really triumphs. I’m getting there with less is more, but you’ve encouraged me to try even harder. Your pen work is so delicate and precise. Lovely pieces to look at.

  10. Great job on your Challenge piece. Unique idea, putting it on a triangular grid. I’m impressed by your precision.

Beautiful, your cruz planet looks very delicate, it reminds me of a dandelion. The border is awesome, the simplicity of the knotted string, it just looks right. And your zendala looks very balanced. I love all three pieces. Thanks for sharing them with us.

All three are wonderful! Your Crux variation is very lovely and delicate. Also I like your pretty border with the knotted string … very creative! My favorite is this wonderful zendala with this well balanced composition! Very nicely done!
