dire sci-fi, Dune, Diskworld and the third ninth

I’m now getting thoroughly bored with the quilting and have exhausted all of the even vaguely appealing dramas on the BBC iPlayer, so was delighted to find audio books online. I tried some rather dire old sci-fi, then settled into listening to Frank Herbert’s Dune. It was OK for the first hour or so but, when I came back to it after a break, I found that I really couldn’t face any more. I couldn’t find any modern sci-fi, but did find Terry Pratchett’s Diskworld series, so am now listening to book #3 “Equal Rites”.

Here’s the third ninth.

Progress so far (white rectangles show quilted areas) …

  2. Lovely progress on your quilt….I love Sci-Fi and am working through some of Robert Heinlein works. Can recommend the “Wool” omnibus by Hugh Howie
