tomatoes and tithonia

I offered to water a neighbour’s tomatoes while he and his family are away. He left me strict instructions to pick any that had ripened — so I did!

The first tithonia flower has opened

so I’ve used it in a yellow, orange and red bouquet, here with the first crystal lemon cucumbers.
