Finally, my Christmas presents have arrived: a swift and a ball-winder. The latter was slightly broken, but nothing that the other half couldn’t fix.

I’ve just wound three hanks of sock yarn into “cakes”. They got neater as I went on; here are the top and bottom views of the finished cakes.
