adventures with a knitting machine #1

To celebrate (very belatedly) a “big” birthday, I’ve realised a long-held dream and got a knitting machine. Here is the very first piece knitted on it, from Jaeger 4 ply merino; ta da!

I also knitted a whole skein of undyed sock yarn. Here it is after blocking – which is clearly another skill to master.

It is destined for an experiment in dyeing; watch this space.
